Toca la guitara

So, as I have mentioned before, many volunteers have bought guitars while in Peru. Unfortunately, few of us know how to actually play a guitar. While guitars do make excellent decorations for bedrooms, we decided we should probably pick them up once in a while. So, put together two volunteers with incredible skill on the guitar, and 15 other volunteers that could not tell the difference between a guitar and a banjo, and you have yourself a weekly guitar night. We are truly blessed to have one person volunteer the roof of there house for the weekly event, which over looks the entire town. So, we learned how to hold the guitar, some cords, and a song entitled “happy, happy, sad, sad” which is quite fun because you simply yell “happy” or sad with a corresponding major or minor cord. I will confess, this is a great way to wind down after a busy day of classes.
